Google announced that web hosting in Google Drive will be deprecated. You can continue to use this feature (and this plugin) until August 31st, 2016, but after that, googledrive.com/host/ID will no longer work. Note that due to this fact, this plugin will no longer be supported and further developed after 01.09.2016. This is why comments are closed on this page.
i would love if you add sync js function too.. :)
@sbroquet requested the following functions. See this comment on CodeCanyon:
“Just 2 features you could add to your awesome plugin:
1) the ability to add 2, 3, 4 … GG Drive accounts (that could reduce the limit imposed by Google)
2) an option to activate the plugin for specific days in the week/month/year and/or period of times. The number of requests is limited. So, it would be interesting to use these requests only when we know that we have a record number of visitors.”
I mean to say if you can add javascripts to be sync by your plugin to google drive ?
I was wondering if there is a way to see which specific files were uploaded to google drive. I just see a number in the statistics area(number of synched files), but it doesn’t say which ones.
I am looking at getting the Google Drive CDN plugin but was wondering if I can also use it to extend storage – i.e. remove the images from my primary wordpress site but still have them served from Google Drive so as to reduce the amount of storage I need on my wordpress account?
(I know I can do this by hand, but for the main contributor to the blog it would be better to have it all happen behind the scenes…)
Hey James,
at the moment it’s not possible to “extend” the storage of your current blog. The plugin just mirrors your static files.
I would like to have my css files and js files with google drive. Only because my server is really slow. I do not do anywhere near 10,000,000 requests a day.. Can you tell me how to add my css and js files to the google drive? I have added the file extension but it won’t pull things from my theme directory.
Hey Shane,
please send us a support request (and add your purchase code for this). This is not the right place to discuss this because we don’t check the comments every day.
Greetings
Hey Ankit,
and thanks for your comment. What do you mean exactly by this? Can you explain that a little further? Thanks ;)
Hey Ankit,
if you add “.js” to the list of file extensions, the plugin should sync it, too.
No buddy! Its not doing.. it only sync the jpg to google CDN drive.. rest CSS and anything no way.. :\
Hey Ankit,
weird. Can you shot me an email using my Support Form? Including temporary access to your blog + FTP access so that I can check what’s wrong with the plugin on your site? Thanks.
Sure man ! I will.
Hope you can fix that out! Thanks a lot.
Did you send me an email? Didn’t get one ;)
will mail you soon, bit busy with some clients and work.
Please add extension javascript (js) thanks. awesome plugin
Hey Tural,
you can add it by your own. Just add “js” to the list of file extensions on the settings page ;)
I would love a option to disable the “clear CDN cache” in the adminbar (the one on top).
Regards,
M
is there a way to make it or do you plan an update to add far-future expiration dates on images ?
Hey there, I’ve answered this on CodeCanyon, see this link.
